Winter 2009-2010

Snow white

The Navarrese Pyrenees are getting ready for the 2009-10 skiing season that will officially start on 28 November.

The Sierra de Abodi, the Larra Nature Reserve and the Belagua Valley offer their snow-covered slopes and tracks for winter activities. Choose traditional skis, enjoy yourself on a sled or a snowmobile, or try some snowshoes for a change —an original, affordable way of travelling across the Navarrese Pyrenees. Experts and beginners will all have the chance to enjoy the snowy mountains by participating in the activities available this season.

Discover the best itineraries for each type of activity. Rent the equipment you need and place yourself in the hands of a guide or go on your own. Over thirty kilometres of skiable tracks await you and, to gild the lily, offer you the chance to admire the beautiful winter landscape through an enormous plate glass window while you enjoy an ice waterfall, a solarium and a sauna. This and much more is available to you at the Roncal Mountain Activities Centre, located in the Larra Nature Reserve.
