17 - 25 April 2010
If your mouth is already watering, don’t think twice about it. Navarre awaits you with its 11th Pincho Week with these and other temptations.
The Pincho Week, organised for the last 12 years by the Navarre Hotel and Catering Association, has positioned our region among the top food powers in the Spanish tapas world. It also serves to generate much excitement and creativity among Navarre’s restaurateurs, becoming an essential part of the local calendar and a good excuse for outsiders to visit us.
Close to one hundred bars across Navarre participate every year, presenting new, imaginative and exclusive pinchos, the most variegated offering being in the capital. They compete for one of the awards —gold, silver and bronze medals, and special prizes for pinchos that include one of Navarre’s typical products, such as asparagus, artichoke, and beef, among others.
During Pincho Week or at any other time, going for pinchos is a deep-rooted tradition in Navarre that you should certainly practice when you visit us. You will find both traditional pinchos and samples of miniature haute cuisine, where the balance of flavours shares the spotlight with a tasteful presentation, which at times can be near spectacular.
Don’t think twice about it! Drop by Navarre in April and welcome the spring by treating yourself to this irresistible microfood.
