Can you imagine immersing yourself in the culture, history, flora and fauna of the Roman Empire without leaving Navarre? This trail runs along a recently catalogued Roman viaduct which has been exceptionally well protected and preserved. Its importance was paramount because it used to be part of the Roman road which connected Tarraco (Tarragona) and Pompaelo (Pamplona).
In addition to this route, you can also discover an old drovers’ route, the’ charcoal burners’ pass’, the deserted mediaeval settlement of Arrastia, the Cave of Arrastizulo and a Neolithic archaeological site. A day out packed with heritage, history and nature on the lower slopes of the Urbasa-Andía Natural Park.
