Procession of El Santo Entierro in Pamplona.

On Good Friday, the capital of Navarre hosts the Procession of El Santo Entierro, the most representative event during Holy Week in Pamplona. Twelve pasos, or processional floats, parade before the calm, silent gazes of those attending.

Of all the images, La Dolorosa is the most admired. With great realism, the Virgen de La Soledad cries out to heaven for her Son, her eyes sunken from her tears and her brow deeply furrowed.

The route
At 7.30 p.m., the procession carries La Dolorosa through the historical centre by candlelight, starting and finishing at the headquarters of the Fraternity of La Pasión in Calle Dormitalería.

Return of La Soledad
As soon as the procession finishes, at around 22.30 p.m., the virgin is taken back from the Fraternity to the Parish Church of San Lorenzo.
