Roncesvalles Museum

Situated in Orreaga/Roncesvalles is the sacred art museum of the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María.

The rich collection includes carvings, paintings and a variety of goldwork, such as a silver Romanesque gospel, a 13th-century gold-plated silver Gothic-Mudejar chest, the shrine known as Charlemagne's chess set and the emerald of Miramamolín, won by Sancho VIII the Strong at the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa.
