Visit the Fortified Enclosure of Artajona and the Church of San Saturnino.

Discover Artajona, a place that will take you back to the times of kings, knights on horses and minstrels. The Middle Ages at their purest, highly recommendable.⁣

Its streets, houses, keep or donjon, water cisterns, half-towers, take you into the past to see the mark made by the different peoples passing through here. Artajona was a Kingdom for a short period of time, under queen Urraca.

Inside the Fortified Church of San Saturnino, constructed by French clergymen between 1260 and 1300, you can admire this Gothic church of French influence, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), and discover other hidden treasures.

And then go up the spiral staircase to reach its unique medieval roof which served to collect water in the Middle Ages. This unique medieval walled enclosure in Navarre remains almost intact. From there you can take in some stunning views of the magnificent and changing scenery of Navarre.
