The Arce Roman road, part of the ancient Roman route between Zaragoza and Bordeaux, runs for almost 8 km between Saragüeta and Santa María de Arce, passing through villages, oak woods, boxwood thickets and pastures, and near ancient Roman baths.

The trail begins in Plaza de San Juan in Saragüeta and ascends the main street. Much of the route coincides with EuroVelo 3, running along the hillside and offering magnificent views. After crossing a mountain pass, it descends through Urdíroz and the Aintzierreka ravine to the Urrobi river and Úriz, where wellpreserved tower houses can be seen.

The path crosses the NA-1720 road in Zandueta and then the Urrobi river. The remains of the Roman baths are on the right on the final stretch of the trail. After passing through an underpass beneath the NA-2040 and leaving Arce palace on the right, the trail ends at the Church of Santa María. Pay attention to flooding of the Urrobi river and be careful during the hunting season (August to February).
