This trail follows the Esca river from the mediaeval bridge in Burgui to a birdwatching viewpoint and offers spectacular views of the gorge.

The route begins next to the mediaeval bridge in Burgui, where there’s an information panel and a replica of a traditional log raft. After crossing the
riverside woodland on the Esca, the path enters the impressive limestone gorge known as La Foz de Burgui, a prime location for observing birds of prey
and cliff-dwelling species in their natural habitat.

You can also discover the remnants of traditional village life in the Pyrenees, such as an ice-house, an oven and a charcoal mound, with explanatory and illustrative panels to help you understand the history and culture of the area. The route’s main attractions are its scenery and birdlife.
