Orkatua waterfall

This trail boasts diverse of tree species and vegetation. Highlights include the Orkatua waterfall and summit views, making the route recommendable. From the waterfall, the return to Oronz is via the Iturrotza trail.

The route is circular, starting near the church in Oronz and heading towards the Chapel of San Pedro. After a short stretch of gravel track, a path ascends through the Izurre ravine to the Orkatua waterfall, 2.4 km from Oronz.

From the waterfall, follow the Iturrotza trail, climbing through the woods, cross the river in the ravine and join a forest track that descends to a marked junction between the path to the mountains and the path to Oronz. From there, leave the forest track and descend to the village, completing the circuit.
