This stunning cross-border trail traverses four distinct areas: Salazar, Aezkoa, Soule and Uhart-Cize, offering a unique immersion into the history of forestry in Irati.

The circular route begins at Casas de Irati and leads into the forest to the Cubo waterfall, a truly beautiful spot. There are six open-air museum points:
oars, mast, lock, ashes, cables and tracks, with explanatory panels about flora, fauna, geology and more.

Learn about the beech and fir trees in this forest, so prized for building galleons, and the methods used to haul the trunks, including how they regulated the flow of the river to transport them. The final stretch follows the river on another circular trail that takes you back to the starting point. The route includes forest tracks and paths. On rainy days, some sections may be muddy.
