Orgi Oak forest

A trail through the Ultzama and Odieta valleys: Lizaso, Gorrontz, Olano and Guelbenzu, with views of the Orgi forest, an area of ecological and natural value.

The walk is easy and begins at the Orgi recreational area. It crosses the NA-411 road and follows a country path to Lizaso. Crossing the road again, you reach the golf course and then climb to Gorrontz-Olano. From there, you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of this ancient 80-hectare forest, a
unique remnant of Navarre’s oak rainforests.

Continue along a path that runs parallel to beautiful woodland and, after crossing a couple of seasonal brooks, you come to Guelbenzu, from where you can enjoy the best views of the valley. Descending, you skirt a fenced field before reaching a stretch alongside the Arkil river. Passing two farms, you arrive at the road. After walking 200 metres without a shoulder and taking a turn to the right, you get back to the starting point of the route.​​​​​​​
