Roncal and Salazar

Another of the many cycling options in Navarre’s Pyrenean valleys starts in Ochagavía, the most populated village in the Salazar valley and one of the gateways to the Irati forest.

This route connects this picturesque village with the village of Roncal, both considered among the most beautiful in Spain, so it is well worth crossing the passes between them by road; first Laza and then Igal to get back.

The two passes have intermediate level slopes and are quite short so they are quite doable for cyclists in decent shape who want to enjoy a magnificent landscape and appreciate the charm of these two beautiful villages.
