Selva de Irati
Navarrese Pyrenees (Roncesvalles - Irati - Roncal)
Ruta Senderista
Distance 3.24 km
Difficulty Baja
Elevation gain 86.0 m
Route type Circular

The trail follows the Urbeltza river and winds along its banks, entering a lush beech and fir forest with magnificent specimens. The route is an old road that once led to France and shares a section with the Errekaidorra interpretive trail.

Shaped like a racquet, it begins at the Casas de Irati-Virgen de las Nieves parking area, next to the information hut, and combines sections of forest track
with footpath.

It starts on a forest track before turning left onto a path that winds very close to the banks of the Urbeltza river and ascends through a beautiful beech and fir forest before rejoining the forest track. Taking the path to the right, carry on and arrive back at the initial fork, from where you can get back to Casas de Irati.
