The Monastery and village of Fitero
Another more than recommendable place to visit. A Cistercian gem, unique in Spain, declared a National Monument and perfectly integrated into the village of Fitero. Don’t miss the abbey church, the 13th-century chapter house and the Renaissance cloister.
You can make the most of your visit to the village and take a dramatised night tour or immerse yourself in the thermal waters of the centuries-old Balneario de Fitero spa. And if you want some exercise, there are two really pleasant walks: one to the cross that crowns La Atalaya and the Roscas circuit, each about 8 kilometres long.
Did you know that the poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer visited the town of Fitero on a number of occasions and that its landscapes inspired his legends of "El Miserere" and "La Cueva de la Mora"? This short, which was filmed in Fitero, is dedicated to him.
And the Sendaviva theme park
And to finish off, this super recommendation for those travelling with kids: the Sendaviva nature park. A different kind of park with exotic animals, farm animals, thrilling rides, other gentler rides and shows like the circus show or birds of prey display that will delight the whole family. And it has its own hostel if you feel like spending the night.

Famous for our vegetables
And, once again, don't even think about leaving Navarre without first sampling the regionally-grown Menestra de verduras or vegetable medley, and also the tender artichokes and cardoon, borage, asparagus, peppers, to name but a few. If you're into lovingly-cooked flavourful vegetables, then this is the place for you!
