Iturrixikin

This unique trail heads into the distinctive landscape of Valdorba, visiting five places renowned for their natural beauty and rich rural heritage.

The route, which begins in Iratxeta, ascends, showcasing the diverse landscapes of Valdorba: bocage (small, irregularly shaped agricultural plots), Portuguese oak trees, pine trees and mountain pastures.

Along the trail, there are five marked points of interest: Borda de las Vacas (Cow shed), where you can learn about traditional farming and land use; Alto de Iturrixikin, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the valley; Fuente de la Teja, the water from which is untreated, a place to rest and contemplate nature-inspired art; Borda de Mariano (livestock shed), a unique example of vernacular architecture; and Alto de Irumuga (1,010 m), a viewpointover the valley with a panorama with a lasting impression.
