Ruta Senderista
Distance 12.1 km
Difficulty Baja
Elevation gain 1.0 m
Route type Circular

This easy, completely flat trail follows the banks of the Arga river between Peralta and Funes, ideal for a leisurely stroll. From Funes, you can visit several
meanders with an interesting wetland area. The environment has been improved to favour the European mink, a shy species that inhabits these riverbanks.

The route begins in Calle Río park in Peralta, next to the Arga river, where there’s an information panel. Follow the right bank to Funes, crossing the river via the NA-6630 bridge and continuing through a riverside park. Leaving Funes, the path leads to a poplar grove with a picnic area next to a cut-off meander. From there, return to Funes and continue along the left bank. After leaving the village, there’s an optional detour to another meander with wetlands and birdwatching opportunities.

The path then carries on past a horse breeding station to a park at the entrance to Peralta. From there, climb steps to the NA-8701 and cross the river to get back to the starting point. You can also begin the route in Funes, where there’s a parking area, public toilets and an information panel.

The complete Mink route's 40 km long.
